Judges Education
The Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association (CSSA) is pleased to offer Judges’ Education at their National Specialty on the day of Best of Breed judging (Saturday, May 10, 2014).
The day will begin with a classroom presentation on the breed at 8:30 a.m. Best of Breed judging is scheduled for mid morning, at which time attendees will move to ringside to be mentored by a combination of CKC and AKC licensed breeder-judges, as well as experienced long term breeders. Our judge for the National is Mr. Thomas W. Coen of Macdega fame. Mr. Coen is a 50 year breeder of Shelties, and was AKC’s Herding Group Breeder of the Year in 2004. At the conclusion of his breed judging, Mr. Coen will give a verbal critique of his winners to the attending judges.
Cost is $20.00 (collected on the day) which includes handouts and lunch. Certificates will be given.
Please join us for this unique opportunity to learn more about the breed that, more often than not, has the largest entry in the Herding Group.
